COTH serves as the principal source of hospital and health system input into overall AACPM policy and direction.
COTH activities focus on issues of particular interest to the podiatric academic medicine community including Medicare direct and indirect medical education payments and disproportionate share payments. COTH provides guidance and networking opportunities to help leaders stay abreast of key issues and excel in their missions. Through knowledge sharing and advocacy, COTH works to influence and shape the issues challenging today’s podiatric academic medical centers.
Membership in COTH gives teaching hospitals access to a wealth of resources and data, continuing medical education, and advocacy efforts. COTH strives to strengthen the role that teaching hospitals and health systems play in educating the next generation of podiatric medical professionals.
